Costa Rica Skipjack Tuna Fishing Charters

On half days, you'll stay inshore. The crew will look for action to keep everyone busy and to catch fish for dinner. The price includes a 13% tax in accordance with Costa Rican law.

6 hours of offshore deep sea fishing and trolling for Billfish (Sailfish, Marlin), Mahi Mahi, and more. Plenty of drinks, snacks, and sandwiches provided, as well as rods, reels, and terminal tackle, lures, and fish cleaning.

This half-day trip will take you fishing the inshore waters for Roosterfish, Snapper, and more. All gear, bait, ice, bottled water, drinks, snacks, and fruit are provided.

The beauty of fishing out of Jaco is that you don't need to go far for some monster fish. Out of Hermosa and Herradura, you'll discover rich waters just a stone's throw from shore. Head to the Pacific first thing in the morning to take advantage of the cooler water and go after some prized fish. Using live bait, or casting lures like poppers and plugs, you'll go after species like Roosterfish, Jacks, Mackerel, Snapper, Mahi Mahi, and Grouper. Expect an intense battle to get 'em all aboard.

Make the most of the crystal clear Pacific waters and spend a full day under the sun, searching for exotic fish. Enjoy the serenity of the open ocean and explore the blue seas that are home to plenty of colorful fish. Test your skills against Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Wahoo, Snook, Roosterfish, and many more prized creatures as you work up a sweat and look to fill the boat. This trip comes with free lunch and plenty of drinks, so come and enjoy the "pura vida" life in Costa Rica.

You'll quickly move to the fishing grounds, that are within 15 minutes of the pickup area. You'll mainly target Roosterfish but will chase anything that is biting in the area as well. Usually do some live baiting in the morning, during tide changes and in the afternoon. The rest of the time you can spend having fun looking for fish on top, or targeting them mid-water or on the bottom. You can opt to lunch on a nice beach or eat on the boat while we keep fishing.

You will launch early morning at one of their launching spots (launching spot will be decided according to weather and wave conditions). The captain usually gets some live bait on his way out and start trolling to inshore structures. He will assist and accommodate fishermen at any experience level and make you feel comfortable in the water.

Couldn’t get the whole day just for fishing? You can still reach offshore waters and catch Billfish! Make sure to take a good photo because you can't keep these as a trophy. You can also catch Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Snapper, Wahoo, and more. If you're within 10 miles from the marina, the captain can arrange a pickup.

On this trip, the guests can choose where and how they will fish. Depending on your choice, the captain will tailor the trip to your wishes and bring all the needed fishing gear for the day. Your trip starts at 6:30 a.m. and lasts for 9 hours.

We can find currents to search for Goldfish with live bait and use octopus lures to catch species such as Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, and many more.
