3/4 Day Trip – Sailfish & Pelagic
Winter months are the best for Sailfish, usually November through March. Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, or Kingfish are also possible to encounter. You start fishing just off the reef edge, some 3-7 miles from the marina. Then, you and the crew will look for color changes along the Keys coastline, from 20' to 190' of water. Sailfish usually jumps multiple times and swims up to 65 mph. To reel them in, you can troll live bait, kite fish, and sight fish. Light tackle will allow you a great fight.

Captain Jim was great and his boat had everything we needed. We did the 6 hour trip and caught mahi mahi and almost a wahoo! The kids and us parents loved it and on our return to the marina, Jim filleted the fish and bagged it up in ice for us and we're now about to eat it for dinner 😋😄🎣

Captain Robert took us to the reef for the first half of the trip and had us near our limit of snapper. The second half of the day was trolling and we had a couple get off the hook as we reeled them in, but we lucked into a decent mahi and closed the day with a nice wahoo! I'd go again if I had the time this trip. A local shop just down the road is able to vacuum seal, freeze, and ship the cleaned catch back home for us. I'd highly recommend for a great experience!

Went out today with Captain Jim and had one heck of an experience catching Wahoo, Mahi, and black fin tuna! If you want to get on some fish, go out with Captain Jim!
