Key Largo Backcountry Fishing Charters

Climb aboard with Captain Pat if you're looking to wet your feet with this introduction to sportfishing down in the beautiful Florida Keys! You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Pat’s 24 Blazer Bay, a bay boat that is equipped with a 300 HP engine. She is also outfitted with a GPS, Fishfinder, Live Bait Well, Multimedia System, Wireless Trolling Motor, and an Ice Box. Depending on the weather and what youd like to accomplish will determine what kind of fishing we will be doing.

Nothing beats a full day of world-class fishing in the Florida Keys flats. You'll be going after the likes of Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish using conventional and fly fishing gear. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price of the trip, as well as the necessary fishing licenses.

On this 6 hour private inshore trip we will fish around the beautiful mangrove islands inside the Everglades National park. The mangrove islands hosts a variety of fish species like Snook, Speckled Sea trout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Triple Tail and many more! You will fish mostly with live bait but we use artificial baits too. This is a great trip for the more experienced fisherman/fisherwoman. Departs 12:00PM. This trip is your best bet to get fish from December to April

These trips are designed to give the angler a true Florida Keys experience. We'll be targeting Snook and Tripletail in the nutritional rich waters of Flamingo.

A full day of flats fishing is best for anglers looking to get a full experience of targeting fish!

Want a fishing experience that gives you a little more time than 4 hours but not the total commitment of a full day in the sun? Give this trip a shot! On a 6-hour trip, you will visit a few more spots and get a few more shots at the species you'd like to target. Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the trip price. 4 people max.

This 8-hour trip can be customized to fly and/or spin fishing and Capt. Larry will need to know which hand fly anglers use to reel with or if you are bringing your own fly rods and what weights. Especially attractive for flats/backcountry trips and targeted species will be based on your input or prior productivity and season. The captain will supply you with all the necessary equipment. unless you've advised you're bringing your own.

Want to feel the fight of your life? Bull, Lemon, Bonnethead, Hammerhead. Blacktip and Sawfish. This trip will test your strength and endurance. Can be extended if desired.

3/4 day Tarpon fishing. Tarpon are a warm weather fish. May being the peak of season. We catch them for months but the weather is key!

A 6 hour trip (3/4 day) is basically our extended half day trip. You'll get a couple extra hours to fish over a standard half day trip. During March this often is enough time to try a bit for a trophy tarpon (the silver king!) and if things play out right still have time to catch a few snappers for dinner nearby (dinner & a show!) or try something else. If the tarpon fishing is tougher this also gives you a little extra time compared to a half day to hopefully catch that window where they are biting.
