Black worms andnother dark body baits are your best bet right now. Lots of walleye to be caught if your verticak and on the bottom. The Detroit river is on fire. Keeping the lines verticals and jigs on bottom is key. You gotta be in that mud line to get fish. Canadian licenses are a must for quick limits of fish. Hard to say what baits to use because it changes everyday. Pimp daddy worm, bubble gum fin s minnow, atomic orange has been hot with some variation everyday. We have availabilty the rest of the month in out brand new Hewescraft. We will be on the Detroit til May 11 and then St Clair river and Lake St Clair til mid June. The fishing has been pretty darn good lately. Salmon, usually no where to be seen, have been hanging around in the deeps of Lake Michigan off of Frankfort. Were not crushing the Kings but its enough to keep interest. The Trout fishing remains very good and we have seen some of biggest Trout ever. We took a 19 pounder theotger day. It was the guys first fish after getting skunked on 3 other charters Our Dates in August are starting to fill up for Lake Michigan Salmon. Our River Salmon trips in September are also filling up. We would love to have you on the boat this season.

We are getting excited for the fall salmon run. Fishing should be good this fall with some very large kings being caught on the great lakes. My season will look like this. Aug 20th the first of the kings should show up. This is not a big numbers time. However the freshest of fish are caught and they put up one of the best fights. The nice things about August is that there is usually very few people fishing. Also, if mother nature throws us a huge storm we could see huge numbers of fish show up earlier then expected. As september rolls around the fishing will improve with more fish coming home to spawn. We will be chucking thunder sticks at first lifht and skein. Late September- October as the fish push through the betsie and beyond the dam, we move down to the Big Manistee. We will fish salmon till about October 10th and then switch over to steelhead for most of the trips. One big rain and the river could flood with steelhead. As of now we have opening. This is a great time to fet on the schedule for your preferred date. I look forward to meeting and fishing with you.

The rivers are empty right now...of people. But its still a great time to be fishing. Steelhead, trout, walleye and Pike have been the target species. We start up at the top for steelhead with crawlers. If the skamania steelhead, a summer run, do not start biting we go looking for other species in the deep holes. Crawlers have been the tickets for steelhead and trout. Jigs with an assorment of plastics bounced along the bottom have been key for the pike and walleye. We just got a heavy rain so the fishing should be good this week. Let me know if you want to get out.
