Lake is very long, check where the boats leave from as some boat ramps are 10 mins away, while others are 50 minutes from Ithaca.

Better than expected. Capt. is not only a really great guy. He works hard to make sure you have an awesome experience.

It’s a tough time of the year for fishing with the temp changes and algae blooms. Fish were there but not overly aggressive. Like anything, 10 min could change things.

Conditions are very weather sensitive. Captain changed our meeting location due to northern winds. It paid in spades. Wind has a big affect on water temperature and fish locations

I found the lake a little overwhelming to kayak in, Cayuga, at least the first visit, I think taking a charter and getting a little local knowledge is a nice way to get started.
