If you need a hotel, spend the extra $30-50/night at a good hotel. Cheap hotels are bad news in this area!!! Lots of shady characters, drugs, among other things... During daylight town is decent, lots of eateries, cocktails.

Make sure you dress for the weather. The river is wide and the wind will certainly be a factor for how cold it is going to be on the water. Nothing worse than getting into the fish and having a bad day because you are under dressed. You can always take some clothes off. I recommend that you go with someone that has experience with fishing the river for your first trip.

About Time Charters is the charter to choose when looking to book a trip for walleye. Captain Damon is really nice, has great equipment and gets the fish! You won't be disappointed. Sincerely, Jim
