CLEAN WATER, HOT MAHI BITES
April 25, 2026
Another strong spring day offshore with classic South Florida conditions — light winds early, clean blue water pushing in, and steady current lines holding bait along the edges. Everything lined up right from the start. The mahi bite was the main event. We found fish working scattered weed lines and floating debris, and once we got on active water it turned into consistent action. Multiple hookups, steady rod bends, and quality mahi coming over the rail kept the crew busy throughout the trip. Conditions stayed stable all day with good visibility and plenty of life offshore. Birds working, bait stacked, and that clean blue water that usually signals mahi are right where they should be. Solid day on the water with nonstop action and a nice pile of mahi to show for it. Spring fishing offshore continues to stay strong and very consistent right now.

Scale House Charters Fishing Report (Bis
April 19, 2026
This past week set up exactly how you want it in Miami—light winds early, a little push mid-week, and clean water holding life both inshore and offshore. When the ocean gives you that mix, you don’t force anything… you fish where it’s right, and this week it was right in a lot of places. Inshore – Biscayne Bay Action Inside the bay stayed consistent and productive, especially on the right tides. Mangrove snapper have been stacked up on structure—channel edges, bridges, and rock piles. Live shrimp and small pilchards got it done quick, especially on the outgoing tide when that water started moving. Yellow jacks mixed in heavy around the markers and wreck edges, aggressive and perfect for light tackle fun. Sea trout showed up on the grass flats with that cleaner water pushing in. Early mornings were best—soft plastics and live bait both producing. Sharks have been cruising steady, especially around the deeper cuts and channels—good action for anyone looking to bend rods and hear that drag sing. Overall inshore bite: steady, reliable, and perfect for putting numbers on the board. Offshore – Bluewater Bite Offshore is where things started getting electric. Sailfish showed up and made their presence known—especially on days with a little breeze and current. Live bait slow-trolled had shots, and when they lit up, it happened fast. Mahi have been scattered but there—working debris, weed lines, and floating structure. Not huge schools every day, but enough to stay on them if you’re covering ground and paying attention. Kingfish have been chewing consistently along the reef edge and deeper lines. Fast-moving, aggressive, and perfect targets when you want action between bites. Conditions dictated the program each day, but the key was staying flexible—some days you push out, some days you work that edge, and some days you let the fish tell you exactly where to be. Captain’s Take This is that classic spring Miami transition bite—everything is starting to fire. You’ve got options every direction you point the bow. Inshore is producing steady numbers, offshore is giving you shots at quality fish, and the key right now is live bait and being ready to adapt. If you’re coming out this week, expect action—and if you want the best shot at pelagics, live bait is the move. Tight lines. ?

REEF BITE WAS CLEAN AND CONSISTENT
April 9, 2026
Good day on the reef with steady spring conditions — light wind early, manageable seas, and clear enough water over the structure to get a solid read on the bottom. Current was moving just right, setting up perfect drift conditions over the hard spots. The mangrove snapper bite was the highlight. We worked the reef structure and picked away at quality fish, staying patient and putting together a solid box. Every good drop had life, and once the bite dialed in, it stayed consistent enough to keep the rods bending. Along with the snapper action, we had steady reef activity throughout the day — grunts, porgies, and other bottom life keeping things active between bites. Simple, steady reef fishing done right — good conditions, quality snapper, and a productive day on the water.

SHARP TOOTH SURPRISE IN SHALLOW WATER ?
April 8, 2026
Nice spring conditions with light wind, steady current, and a mix of clean and slightly stained water pushing through the structure and flats edges. Plenty of bait around and overall good visibility made for easy reading of the water all day. We ran into a small bull shark that still showed plenty of attitude for its size. Quick surprise bite, strong little runs, and a fun moment boatside before a safe release. Even the smaller ones remind you there’s always predators moving through the area. Outside of that, the water stayed active with bait movement and steady life around the edges, keeping things interesting throughout the trip. Simple day on the water with a cool unexpected encounter and solid spring conditions offshore.

DOUBLE PLAY OFF BISCAYNE — MAHI & TUNA I
March 27, 2026
Strong spring conditions offshore with clean blue water pushing in, light wind early, and steady current along the weed lines. Bait was stacked up in all the right areas, and it didn’t take long before life started showing on the surface. The mahi bite came first, with fish found working scattered grass patches and floating debris. Once we got on them, it was consistent action with multiple hookups and solid fish coming over the rail. As the day developed, we also ran into blackfin tuna mixed in offshore, adding a second wave of action and keeping rods bent while working the deeper edges. Fast bites, clean water, and steady movement made for a productive trip overall. Classic South Florida spring fishing — when it’s right, you don’t just get one species. You get options.

KINGFISH WERE CRUISING HEAVY OFF THE EDG
March 25, 2026
After-dark conditions offshore with calm seas, light breeze, and clean water still holding life along the edges. Even with the sun down, the bait was still active and the water had that glow you only get when fish are pushing through at night. The kingfish bite fired up after dark, with hard strikes and long, powerful runs right under the lights. Fast hookups and steady action kept the crew busy, with fish reacting aggressively once they came into the glow. Night fishing offshore always hits different — quieter water, heavier fights, and everything happening a little closer and a little faster once they show up. Clean night bite, solid action, and a memorable offshore grind under the lights.
