What anglers said about fishing in Cayman Islands
There are no guarantees. We had a great day but several other boats passed us and reported little or no fish caught. You aren't too far off shore though and our phones worked fine. If you have kids who get bored easily they can at least mess with their phones while waiting for a fish. Captain Chacas does all the work aside from reeling in the fish. He was very good and gave good instructions.

If you want to troll and maybe catch some big fish, I recommend the deep sea charter. If you want to use lighter tackle and have more hands on with the rod & reel, the reef charter may be more what you're looking for. Potential for bigger fish when doing the deep sea charter. You will catch smaller fish species on the reef fishing charter. Either way you'll have fun.

For our group, fishing was not the primary purpose, but, upon hearing that one of our granddaughters loved to fish, Captain Jerry and crew helped her reel in a barracuda.

Myself, my wife and our 5 year old went our with Captain Bobby reef fishing. it was just the 4 of us. He educated us, loaded our bait each time we needed, and helped our son have a blast. He was fantastic and genuinely fun. We caught a huge barracuda, Snapper, and lots of other smaller fish. He did a 5 star job and a pleasure to be with. The boat was clean and the experience was memorable.

yes, the trip is labeled as a reef trip, however, we actually fished within the broad rocky shallows (10-15') of the bay; fish (7-14") were biting all morning.

Eat a light breakfast before the trip. We brought ginger candies to help with sea sickness. We onky fished one day, so not sure how the rest if November is like. The crew said it was a slow day, but it was still 14 more fish that we had ever caught on trips elsewhere.
