Even when dogfish moved in mid-June and conditions became more challenging, our crews consistently found fish and ensured everyone left with quality catches. The Tuna Story The 2025 Bluefin Tuna season presented unique challenges. Heavy commercial pressure on baitfish populations—particularly herring and bunker—disrupted traditional feeding patterns. Industrial netting and dragging operations swept up bait schools early and in deeper water, delaying the Tuna arrival until mid-to-late August. While fishing closer grounds like Old Scantum proved tougher due to commercial activity, Adventure and Catch's willingness to explore and run farther offshore paid dividends.
