Trip Summary

Luck O' The Irish Fishing Guide Service was blessed to fish with Ryan and his family today. Captain Jonathan found birds working schooling fish on the South shore and it was a game on kind of morning! Lot of fish caught on RSR Lures and being able to cast far and stay back is key. Thanks again to Sixgill Fishing Products for the great rods and reels they put in our clients hands! Beautiful lake Grapevine has been on fire! Consistent catches of big fat white bass have been the norm for the last week. Great time to get out, enjoy the lake (you may or may not see another boat) and catch a bunch while they are roaming the deep water in large schools. The smaller RSR Lures have been working great while Bobo's Thumper keeps the fish under the boat.

Nate and Chantell brought their boys Andrew and Lucas out for a Christmas break trip and had a blast catching over 50 White Bass. Quite a few were a little small to keep, but 18 went in the box along with a big Crappie. It was a fun late morning to an early afternoon trip. The water temperature was in the mid 50's and was fairly stained. The fish are still holding a shallow in 15 to 17 feet of water. White jigging spoons caught almost all the fish. Winter is always a good time to be out because boat traffic is so much lighter.
