First Time offshore and on Christmas

Trip Summary

Nothing says Merry Christmas quite like having an old high school buddy show up in Costa Rica to try his hand at offshore fishing. For someone who is just starting to explore what we love so much, he certainly got off to a good start. He managed to break the ice with four sailfish bites, several mahi that we just couldn’t manage to keep a hook in, three marlin in the **hidden content** lb. range released on five bites with a couple of those coming in the way of a double, yellowfin tuna, and a quick stop at the grocery store for a few nice snowy grouper. I guess if you’re going to look for a new hobby, I think he may have found one. I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say, we’ll be seeing him again on the water.
