We were joined by Shelly, Colt, And Gary for Gary’s 70th birthday. Rumor has it that 20 years ago Gary released 15 sails in a single day fishing from a panga here in Quepos. Shelly said Gary has told this story to pretty much everyone for the last the 20 years. Well, we looked to break that record, but came up a bit short. Gary was certainly no less pleased and I think his daughter being able to witness this meant more than anything. It certainly hit home for me. We finished the day 8 for 12 on sails and slacked off a marlin due to running out of reeling steam.
