Boarded by the Coast Guard

Trip Summary

Boarded by the Coast Guard and probably a good day for it. We were joined by a combination of Costarican and US Coast Guard. These guys wasted no time getting started on music and libations as we steamed to the ground where we were met by a pretty nasty low pressure front that made things interesting for most of the day. Visibility was somewhere around the end of my nose for a while. Things started off a bit slow, but we managed to find a few bites. We raised a couple marlin that followed the baits for far longer than I would expect, but wouldn’t eat regardless of what we tried. We ended up releasing only two sails on seven raises. I guess we were pretty fortunate to only have two anglers at the moment since two were ...let’s just say, under the weather. We pulled them in with enough time to stop for some groceries and put a few grouper and a couple tilefish in the box for dinner. It was certainly nautical, but a fun day nonetheless. #quepossportfishing#manuelantonio#fishingcostarica#marinapezvela#travelcostarica#fishing#billfish#squidnation
