Trip Summary
Got a call about 10 yesterday morning "Can you take us (party of 3) fishing this afternoon?". I wasn't booked so the answer was "Sure. Meet me at the dock (Camachee Cove, St. Augustine FL) at noon and we'll go catch some fish. The bite has been somewhere between Very Good to Outstanding since the Hurricane (Mathew) last month. I picked up 16 Doz live baits on the way in and away we went. First - Third stops were a lot (25-30) short **hidden content**/4") red bass and short **hidden content**/4") speckled trout. Lots of fun but nothing for the pan. Fourth spot was the ticket for keepers and shorts. We kept 6 black drum to 17 1/2", 3 redfish between 21 and 25" and two speckled trout between 151/2 and 17". Plus, a few more shorts and some also rans (pinfish, spots, croakers (small) and pigfish). Had a ball and had 1.5 gallons of boneless / skinless fillets. OUTSTANDING trip. See you on the pond, Capt. Guy
