Trip Summary

The last week has been solid for Walleye, both on the jig with live bait abs trolling hard baits and spoons. Lake Leelanau and Long Lake have been good. Morning the fish have neen a little deeper and evening they have been slightly shallower.

The lake trout fishing is really heating up with water temps slowly warming up with these hot spring temps this week. We even had some shorts and short sleeves breifly! The fish are a bit scattered, but the shallow water approach is getting more consistant. This is a great time to fish for trout with shorter lines and action close to the boat.

We have had some nice 20”+ walleye hitting again. Trolling spoons, rapalas and other deeper running baits has been the best. Perch have been hungry as well when sorting through dozens to get a handlful of nice keepers. Walleye and perch are whats for dinner for these clients.
