We had a great experience overall! The captain and his first mate were absolutely fantastic throughout the trip. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome and safe from the moment we boarded. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making sure their guests had a good time and enjoyed the experience.

One thing that future guests should be aware of is that the water was incredibly choppy on the day we went. Unfortunately, I personally wasn’t able to enjoy the excursion as much as I had hoped because the rough conditions made it difficult for me to fully relax and take everything in. However, that was completely beyond the crew’s control and certainly not a reflection of the service provided.

Despite the challenging conditions, the captain and first mate handled everything exceptionally well and maintained a positive attitude throughout the trip. Their professionalism and attention to passengers really stood out. If you’re considering this excursion, I would definitely recommend it, especially on a calmer day when you can fully appreciate the experience.

We werent sure which charter to go on, we ended up choosing Breakaway Charters. Captain Jeff and his boat hand joe were super kind, determined, and made it a great experience. We all ended up catching 15 skipjacks. Jeff called this morning just to make sure we could find him. Book this charter! it was amazing, they even cleaned our fish and we get to bring it home to eat it.
Bring your best sea sickness meds though, water can be choppy. 🐟

Big shout out to Captain Jeff and first mate, Joe for taking us out on a 4 hour private charter.  Not only did they find fish, they handled everything from making sure everyone felt okay, coaching, equipment, and getting the fish in the boat. They were well educated, fun, and good at what they do. Highly recommend this charter for anyone thinking of going out fishing.

The fish were not our friend for much of the day but we finally came upon a cluster of yellowfin and they were nice enough to extend our time to make a second pass.  We brought in pleanty for dinner and lost a few just because we had to many lines running at the same time when they hit.  Its ocean fishing so be prepared for waves but boat held well.

The crew was very nice.  They definitely know what they’re doing and what to look for to find fish.  Wecaught six fish in four hours.  They also cut and prepared the fish for us to take home to cook.  Overall , this was a great experience. We would highly recommend this type of trip to anybody and definitely recommend this crew.
