We met Captain Jesse at the appointed time and he was ready go. We rode out to the first spot and were catching fish right away. Third cast brought a keeper Redfish to the boat. Caught another in short order plus other species. The entire trip was similar. Captain Jesse will put you on fish and he will tell you some good stories about the area while doing so. He hustled on board to keep hooks baited, hang ups cleared and us happy. Redfish, Black Drum, Black Sea Bass, Speckled Trout, along with some โtrashโ fish made for a fine trip!

This was a fun experience with Captain Jesse. He took us where we requested and we caught a variety of fish.ย Hw pulled in a very pretty black sea bass and a decent flounder though a touch under size limit.ย That was OK with us because we like to catch and release anyway.ย The rock bottom was a new experience for me and he helped me learn how to work the bait over the rocks.ย We were surprised to find out that we knew some of the same people from Fernandina Beach. We would go back fishing with Jesse anytime.

I was a little nervous about the weather and our fish catching abilities so last minute I changed from 2 hours to 3. The captain approved this right away which was great. This trip was PERFECT for myself and husband as we are already relatively experienced at fishing. Our son is 9 and he was able to fish completely independently and caught his own fish, too. Our daughter is 5 and pretty much just hunkered down on the floor of the boat because it was COLD that day. She couldโve participated but I wouldnโt recommend bringing children younger than 5-6 unless it is over 70 degrees out. The captain was as helpful as possible and put us on the fish despite crappy weather (cold, windy).

Captain Jesse is great! full service fishing trip! The 2 hour trip went by lightning fast. although we werent โinโ the fish, we still caught 9.
He was also very informative about the area and the historical significance of the old buildings.
if it rains make sure you have rain jackets on standby and wear grippy shoes.

Jesse was the perfect captain for our family. He answered all of our four and nine year oldsโ
questions and was so good about making sure the kids always had a shrimp on their hooks and helped them cast. My husband and I got to fish too because Jesse was so on top of it. We had a lucky day and caught over 9 fish in 2 hours.
