Met Captain Oscar and crewmate Armando (Hermando?) at 6:30 in the harbor. He said our best luck would be for roosters and Jack Crevalle right off the beach. 45 minutes later we hooked up to our first fish. Lost it because I accidentally set the drag too tight. My wife and I booked a trip hoping to catch a dorado or rooster fish. We were hoping to catch at least one small fish a piece. We ended up catching a 10 ft. 230 lb. Blue marlin on a 22 ft boat. Wow! Armando was amazing and a real trooper helping to bring it in. It was still pretty green after gaffing it, but he held on it seems like forever.
