My brother and I booked Ed Musser as a guide for a two day trip.It was a total success.The first day’s weather was not great (rain and cool), but Ed stayed with it, he found the fish and we still limited out.The second day was great weather, and another limit day.,Ed found the fish again, worked to keep everything going in order to maximize us catching our limit.
He was professional in the way he kept open communication during the booking process and coordinating times and directions.
Ed was very friendly and personable.
It was a great relaxing experience, from catching big fish to him cleaning and bagging them for us.
I have even booked a second trip with him for next month.
I won’t use any guide at Lake Texoma but Ed

Awesome experience! Mr. Ed put us on fish right away and was friendly and easy going. He had some great jokes and took us out to a few different spots. Caught our limit early but he stayed out letting us catch and release. He cleaned up the fish for us too!  Will book another trip next visit with him!

The bite at Texoma is slow right now due to higher water temps and lower oxygen levels due to the lake authorities releasing water from the dam to prevent it going over the spillway. However, Capt Ed called us ahead of time to set expectations and give us the option to go or not. We were interested in the trip either way and Capt Ed hustled today to put us on the fish. We ended up catching Striper, Sand Bass, Channel Cats and one Blue Cat.  It was a great day on the water, Capt Ed was a patient gentleman with us and a scholar of the lake, I highly recommend his expertise and services!

6/20/2025 Captain Ed Fishing:

My fishing trip with Captain Ed was Great!
Capt. Communicated with me following confirmation with FishingBooker.  He offered me suggestions on places to stay. I traveled 5 hours to get to Lake Texoma. He talked me through securing the special fishing license required because the lake is in both Texas and Oklahoma.  His dock was easy to find and just like a private fishing camp.  We hit the lake early, before sunrise.  Capt. Ed knew exactly where to get to, In The Dark!  After very little cruising and checking the amazing electronics he has onboard, (I never heard of a “Thumper”) we were ON Fish.  Couldn’t have been 10 minutes and we began to catch.  If a spot didn’t produce, we moved to another. Secured the lake limit in less than 2 hours.  His boat was outfitted with exactly the gear we needed.
Capt. had stories to tell, oh boy did he.  Traveled the world, several careers, retired 4 times… lol (I don’t think he understands “Retired”).  Not all his jokes were funny, but then, neither were mine.
Capt. Ed knows Lake Texoma really well And how to fish it.  I would whole heartedly recommend him to be your guide if you’re seeking Natural, Striped Bass in Texoma.  I hope to fish with him again.  Thanks Captain Ed!

Captain Ed was very patient with my son and I. He worked really hard to get us on fish and is extremely good at this. I am semi handicapped and he went out of his way to assure I had a great experience. He worked hard to get us fish in the boat and we caught many over the length limit that were carefully returned to the lake. I would recommend him to anyone knowing they would have an outstanding experience!
