Ray was awesome even though the fish weren’t biting but thats fishing. seeing the mother bear and 2 cubs standing on their hind legs, seeing the piebald moose and her newborn calf trying to climb the riverbank and seeing the eagles made it very memorable! thanks for the memories

I took my six year old son on the knik river salmon fishing and we had a great time. Not only we caught a fish, we had a good time on the boat chatting with the captain, playing with the first mate(captain’s dog Stormy) and spotting wild animals- we saw a bald eagle up close at a fishing spot for quite some time. Great experience. I initially booked the wrong date by accident. They worked with me and got everything set up with no extra cost. Our captain, Doug, was very helpful. He gave great instructions when we hooked up to make sure we could land our fish. One of our group had only fished once in her life and netted a nice King Salmon. It seems that catching King Salmon is a lot more difficult than many visitors believe. Alaska has limited fishing to specific areas of each river they allow people to fish. Great area with beautiful views to make an unsuccessful fishing trip enjoyable
