We had such an awesome and successful halibut fishing experience with Captain Jon and Landon! We chose an afternoon half day trip since our cruise ship didn’t dock until 9 am, and most morning/full day trips started at 8 am. Captain Jon took us to a great spot in Auke Bay, and as soon as we cast our lines, everyone on our boat immediately hooked on halibut, which kept happening every cast until we caught our keepers. Didn’t catch any fish, but it is a little before the season. However, we saw a Humpback Whale and several Orcas. We got pretty close and got some great videos. Also got to see some eagles feeding, which was fun. Captain Terry and Dillon were great. Very personable and interesting to talk to. We had a great time.
