We had an awesome fishing experience on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025 with the skills and expertise of Captain Johnny and reeled in 13 Mangrove Snappers and one Flounder.  A stingray was our first catch, and it was thrown back!  Johnny’s dedication and knowledge of the Orange Beach waters put us on the fish. We appreciated his kindness and professionalism throughout our journey.  If you are looking for patience and friendliness, book your trip with Captain Johnny.  Our panfried mild white Mangrove Snapper dinner was delicious, very moist and sweet with no fishy taste.  Thank you, Captain Johnny for a great experience … we will be back next year and recommend you to all our friends.

If you’re looking to take the kiddo’s fishing, Captain Johnny Morris is the man. This was our second trip with Johnny.What a great mentor for my daughter who recently received her vessel license. He spent a lot of time teaching her boating safety and proper etiquette navigating through the Gulf.

Johnny is a wonderful guide and even a better person! He did everything he could possibly do to get us on some fish! The bite was slow for everyone, but was was enjoyable to just be out fishing and catching what we could!

We walked out on the dock at Zeke’s and met Capt. Johnny. From start to finish we enjoyed every second. Not all that went out that morning pulled in near as many fish, if any, but Johnny knew where to go. We learned a lot too.

He put us on some king mackerel that was a fight to pull in. We also caught some spanish mackerel, blue fish, snapper, and remora. Johnny fielded all our questions and taught us a lot about fishing in the Gulf.

When we got back to the dock Johnny cleaned what we kept and gave us a great recommendation on where to get it cooked. (The Shrimp Basket in the parking lot of Zeke’s, try getting it Cajun style!)

Johnny is knowledgeable, safe, proficient, and personable. We will definitely be back.
