Went on full day with Joel, original captain was on vacation but didn’t tell us. Crew tried their best but got skunked on ten hours of trolling. Only had three bites the whole day and lost them in seconds to Galapagos sharks.

Aloha! Sorry for the lack of fish on your trip. Capt Joel is one of the full time captains along with Capt Chris, there was or is no “original “ captain. Unfortunately there’s times where the ocean predators “sharks” get the best of us. Like you mentioned the crew tried hard to put you on Fish and even kept you guys out longer than your trip was booked for at the expense of the company to try to make your day successful. Captain Chris & mate Derrick were knowledgable, professional, and friendly. We had our first bite w/in 5 minutes of getting the baits in the water, and had a spectacular fight w/ a bounding striped marlin as the pinnacle of the day. Super personable crew- it was great to learn about the island and the fishery on our first time fishing Hawaiian waters. 5 Stars across the board- we will be back!
