Started out trying to specifically catch tuna. When Captain Ken knew it wasn’t going to work, we moved to a new location and started bottom fishing and boy, did we get on the fish and have a blast. Our deck hand Jay did a fantastic job keeping everyone baited, and even Ken stepped in when needed. My family had a great day of fishing, and we highly recommend Big Shooter Fishing Charter for anyone who’s looking to catch all types of fish and have a great time.

Big Shooter captains know how to put you on the fish you want! We had a party of 5 men looking for our limit in Red Snappers, porgies and beeliners and then we wanted some fun with some other fish! On this 12 hour trip they put us on 10 different species of fish including grouper, amberjack, and triggers. Right after we booked I got a call from the company to inform us that their primary boat was down for maintenance. They wanted to make us aware and offered a refund if we were not okay with that. The boat was in great condition, and we wouldn’t have known it wasn’t their primary if they didn’t tell us. On the day of our scheduled trip, the deckhand was unavailable. I highly recommend Big Shooter Fishing Charters! Captain Jeremy and Deckhand Mose showed us a great time yesterday. They were very patient as they worked around our film crew and helped us snag some snapper. We caught a few huge amberjack too, but they aren’t in season so we couldn’t keep them. Captain Jeremy and crew were great. Excellent communication and responsive to questions in the weeks leading up to the trip. The snappers were slow biting but he worked hard to get us our limit. We actually caught more amberjack than snapper. Too bad they were out of season. My younger kids appreciated being able to get out of the sun and the on-board bathroom. Would definitely go back on another trip with Captain Jeremy. Great time.
