We stay in the calm waters of the sound or depending on the weather, will head out into the ocean, catching drum, speckled trout, flounder, spanish mackeral and whatever else the ocean might bring us that day. If the weather is cooperating that day, we can mix it up and do both sound an ocean. A full day trip is a great way to catch a variety of fish and allows the Capt. time to try various spots.

Capt. Wess is an absolute joy of a Captain that will do absolutely whatever it takes to make sure that you have a fun, safe and successful trip. Absolutely epic and knocked a cobia off of my bucket list! Book now, because he's going to be very popular really quick!

Awesome captain!

I brought my boat down to Hatteras and we fished for Cobia. I was super picky and after a 60+ pounder only but we saw Cobia and he is a very educated captain with awesome positive energy. If you fish with him, you’ll have a good time for sure!

Awesome half day trip!
5/5
We had a great morning with Captain John! Slow going in the beginning, but we got some fish on later in the trip. Spanish, Blue, a bunch of Lizard Fish, and a baby Cobia. John worked to get us on fish nonstop. We even saw a dolphin pod as we headed out. Highly recommend. We'll be calling John to go out again!

3/4 day out front of the island

We had a great day, captain put us on some fish, we could have caught more but we decided to target different species. We caught Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, blue fish, we even got to sight cast at a cobia. Great day on the water.

Captain was awesome!!! Great energy and talked us through everything we did to keep us safe and catch us fish! Almost had us a NICE Cobia but he just wouldn’t bite! Still, overall we had an amazing time and for the price for a full day just couldn’t be beat! Definitely recommend Red Finn Charters with Captain Zach!! Thanks Again!
