British Columbia Crab Fishing Charters

While many species of fish such as Lingcod and other species of ground fish (rock cod) are closed during this time, the Chinook Fishery remains open. Catch limit is 2 per angler. The trip price includes taxes.

This afternoon outing will take you out on the waters of British Columbia. You will be targeting Chinook Salmon and Coho Salmon, with the hopes of hooking into a trophy Chinook over 20 pounds! The gear is furnished onboard, and you will have lures, and bait at your disposal. Bring a salt water fishing licence, snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and a camera.

This morning trip will take you fishing for wild Pacific Salmon or huge Halibut, depending on the season. Everything will be provided but food, drinks, and licenses.

This 4-hour trip is the perfect outing for the entire family! Typically you'll start the trip off by dropping crab traps in the Tofino harbour, and then will head out to the fishing grounds, staying within 8 miles. Your captain will have you trolling for Salmon species, bottom fishing for Halibut, and jigging for Lingcod. If you want to mix up your angling with sight-seeing, you can explore the coastline and find local wildlife, too. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included. Just bring a license.

It doesn't offer plenty of time to do the most we can, but in the past, we have been able to tub out on Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod in 4 hours for 2-3 people. We'll stay inshore and close, so we can do all the fishing we can within that time frame. We can target everything during this time or specific species, depending on what you want.

Enjoy 4 hours spent trolling for Salmon. We will be covering ground slowly while fishing, checking out local sights, islands, and beaches. You will meet the harbour seals at the docks, and often have a good chance to see whales, porpoise, and sea birds while fishing. We will set 2 crab traps on our way out, to retrieve (hopefully full of Dungeness crab!) on our way back to the dock. If you're enjoying your morning we can often upgrade you to a full day! We will be fishing with down-riggers and flashers.

The Summer Chinook Salmon run from August 1 until mid-September and are a hard-scrapping fish of the finest quality, ranging in size from 10 to 40 lbs. In addition to Chinook, there is often plenty of Coho migrating through the Strait of Juan de Fuca during this same time of year, and at times, the action can be nonstop. 'Raven' offers one leisurely trip per day with a no-hurry policy and features something for everyone, even the non-fishers in your group or family. :)

Spend 8 hours on the water, trolling for Salmon and jigging for bottom fish if you'd like to (Lingcod, Halibut, and rockfish). With only a short run to the fishing grounds you are sure to spend your time fishing effectively. We'll also be dropping our crab traps on the way out, letting them soak full of bait for Dungeoness crab. All fish filleted and cleaned for you at the dock at the end of your trip.
