Newport Crab Fishing Charters

This is a private trip that focuses on catching Rockfish in the nearshore waters. You can also catch some Lingcod & Cabezon, as they like to hang out in the same areas. Captain Greg will provide the gear and the knowledge, so all you have to do is make sure you listen and bring lots of positive energy. There is a capacity for 4 adults +1 child. Boat is crowded with 5 adults. The maximum weight on the boat is 1000 lbs per group, for safety and comfort reasons.

On this trip, we will set Crab pots and then target Chinook Salmon. Everything will be provided but lunch. If ocean conditions are poor, we will fish on the Alsea River or another local river. These trips will take place either in Newport, Waldport, or another local location.

Spend 4 hours on the waters out of Newport or Depoe Bay Harbor. Dip your feet in the water and see what all the fuss is about. Bottom fish to lure Halibut, Lingcod, Seabass, and more, while you can also troll for delicious Salmon as well. Everything you need for a productive day of fishing is provided, just bring some snacks and make the most of it.

This trip includes 5 hours of crabbing in yaquina bay . You will leave the dock at 6:30 a.m. and you should bring your fishing licenses and your favorite food. The captain will take care of everything else from the gear to drinks

Crabbing in the Bay is always tide-dependent so a starting time is hard to pick more than a couple of weeks in advance and trip dependent as fishing trips will take precedence over crabbing trips. Crabbing in the Ocean is always very weather dependent. Kids have a great time crabbing, consider a bay trip for the first-timer! Please call for availability or small groups.

Lingcod/Rockfish/Crabbing trips are a great way to get out on the water. You will target Lingcod, several species of Rockfish, and Cabezon when the season is open. We throw pots for Dungeness Crab, with cooking available. Trips are usually back to the dock by about noon with coolers full of excellent table fare. Bottom fish trips are great for people who are new to ocean fishing since they are usually shorter in duration and closer to shore. This is a private trip with just your party on board.

This is a awesome trip to have a great time and put a good amount of food in the freezer.

This is not a Bay crab trip, up to 12 Dungeness crab, fishing tags and shell fish license should be purchased

This trip will be out of Newport, Oregon for up to 5 people for $1600 for the boat. We will be targeting Halibut, but could get some other species of fish you'll be able to take home to.

Ocean or bay crabbing for Dungeness crabs. A sweet, delicious crab that is prized for the mild white meat. We will set 4-8 crab traps. Then we wait for the crabs to fill the pots. We will work the tide if bay crabbing, or pull and set if offshore. Its a fun experience for all. Everyone wants to see them come up in anticipation of big keeper males. This trip can also be added to any booked fishing trip for a reduced price. Contact your captain for details.
