Outer Banks Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) Fishing Charters

Head out to the productive Gulf Stream on this 8-hour adventure! You'll typically be fishing up to 30 miles offshore, so make sure your sea legs are strong. You'll be targeting Tilefish, Seabass, Grouper, Amberjack, Shark, King Mackerel, and trolling species such as Sailfish and Mahi Mahi. Custom fishing gear will be provided for you, as well as a fishing license for your group, so just bring snacks, drinks, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Leave Oregon Inlet and fish all day in the amazing blue waters of the Gulf Stream on a beautiful Blackwell 40' Express boat. Get in the action while catching everything from Tuna (all types) to Mahi Mahi to all types of billfish. The $2550 price includes filleting the fish, something that likely saves you a few hundred dollars on a good day. Keep in mind the mate works for tips: 15-20% of trip cost.

This trip typically is 15–35 miles from the inlet. This trip gives you the flexibility to target different species depending on the season and weather. You'll be fishing for Tilefish when in season, Amberjack, King Mackerel, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, and the occasional White Marlin or Sailfish. Offshore full-day trips target Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin/Billfish, and Tile fish(bottom fishing) 20% tip is customary to mates

This charter is usually done within sight of the beach, or depending on the conditions, may be done up to 20 miles offshore. The 8 hour charter gives more time and range for fishing, and the chance to catch bigger fish. The fishing techniques of this charter may require live bait or trolling. The deeper waters may open you up to more variety, such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Bluefish, Albacore, Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi, and even the possibility of a Sailfish.

Great option for anglers looking to fish in the ocean and go a little further. *condition dependent. Targeting larger fish with options to bottom fish wrecks and artificial reefs, sight casting and chasing a variety of fish during the trip.

Get ready, we are going to the Gulfstream! When you get to the fishing grounds, be ready to reel in some Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, and/or Billfish! Pack your own food and drinks and leave the rest to Roanoke Sportfishing!

On full-day trips, we head out of Oregon Inlet, traveling 40–50 miles to the Gulfstream. From May to late September, target mahi, wahoo, black/yellowfin/bigeye tuna, white marlin, sailfish, and the legendary blue marlin. Trips may run slightly longer than 12 hours. All tackle is provided, and we don't leave until the box is full and our customers are smiling. Get ready for an unforgettable OBX fishing adventure!

THIS TRIP IS 4 PEOPLE MAXIMUM! This is a fun-filled day trip. Depending on the weather, you may spend the day in the sound or head out into the ocean. There is a wide variety of fish to be caught on this trip, from Cobia to Drum. Plenty of room for your group on our 33' open fisherman. We have a restroom onboard.
