San Luis Pass Flounder Fishing Charters

You will be fishing the waters of Freeport or Galveston, going for the best species the area has to offer, such as Flounder, Redfish, and Spotted Seatrout. Your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip. You can feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks if you want.

Spend the morning fishing in the West Galveston Bay Area for local favorites such as Trout, Redfish, and Flounder. This is typically a period of high activity and many of the captain's favorite spots are highly likely to put your skills to the test.

This trip is offered in the winter months. It starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. to allow for fishing during the middle of the day. Same great trip as always offered just during different hours of the day.

On this trip, you'll head up to 9 miles into the Gulf to target a variety of nearshore species. Get ready to put up a fight against some monster Snapper, King Mackerel, Ling, sharks, and many more. Fishing equipment is provided, just be sure to purchase a fishing license prior to your trip, pack some snacks, drinks, a hat, and sunblock and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Full day trips will typically depart at sunrise (6:00 a.m. summer and 7:00 a.m. winter). If the schedule allows, the captain can adjust departure times to accommodate your requests. All rods, reels, artificial lures, and terminal tackle are included in the price. Live bait will be an additional cost.

Come enjoy a full day of fishing all of West Bay Galveston sand flats and back bays. You will have lots of fun chasing Trout, Redfish, Flounder, as well as many other fine species. You can throw live bait or lures, whatever you prefer. Just remember that live bait comes at an extra cost.

Times may vary but typically early morning to before noon. Targeting Redfish, Trout , Flounder, Gaff top, Mangrove Snapper and Shark , depending on the season and water conditions.

Capt. Jay Potts will help you reel in your personal best on your full day adventure. Expect to target Redfish, Trout and Flounder. Sheepshead, Black drum and sharks are not uncommon to catch as well. Clients need to bring a fishing license with salt water endorsement, lunch, sunblock, sunglasses, cap or hat, your camera and enthusiasm!
