Join Strikemaster Charters and target Steelhead and Walleye up to 10-15 miles offshore. Steelhead are one of the strongest fighting fish in Lake Erie. These fish can jump 5-6 feet out of the water, go back down and peel drag off again. This is an awesome trip out on the water, fighting the mighty Steelhead. As the water temperatures start to drop the fish start to move closer (October) to shore and stage near the rivers. This is also a great time to catch trophy Steelhead and Walleye!

You and the crew will be trolling for Walleye and may catch some Steelhead if you are in deeper water. You will be using downriggers, dipsy divers, jet divers, weighted lines, and wire line. Planer boards are used to spread the lines away from the boat. The trip lasts for 8 hours or until the limit has been reached. Fish cleaning is available at $2.50 per fish. It is customary to tip the captain and first mate.

The fishing charter with Captain Nick was a great time. Not only did my son and I catch around 25 fish (1/2 day trip; we chose to catch and release), but we learned a lot in the process. Captain and mate know how to get the fish! They provide all the equipment you need and do most of the work for you. They fillet them as well, which is a big plus in my book!

Captain Paul did a great job getting us some fish despite extremely tough conditions (low water levels, water temps in the 80s, extreme heat index of 102, and two of our party getting a little sea sick.) Captain Paul was super helpful and friendly, teaching us all about the type of fishing, Lake Erie, and walleye. Our group looks forward to fishing with Captain Paul at Fishin Mission Charters in the future!
