Port Renfrew Coho Salmon Fishing Charters

This is a 5-hour trip!

This is a five-hour trip that will see you fishing the beautiful waters out of Sooke for Salmon, Rockfish, and who knows what else. Don't let the length of the trip fool you!

Spend a fantastic 6 hours fishing for Salmon, bottomfish are not available. A full day gives us a chance at several tide changes, and a better opportunity to explore different fishing holes. Kelly knows the best places to try, and what techniques to use.

This morning trip will take you fishing for wild Pacific Salmon or huge Halibut, depending on the season. Everything will be provided but food, drinks, and licenses.

On this trip, you'll be setting out first thing in the morning for the run offshore to the famed Swiftsure Banks or up the shoreline. Targeting all five species of wild Pacific Salmon and Pacific Halibut is the captain's goal every day. You'll return to the dock in mid-afternoon after a quick pull of crab traps to have Nick expertly clean your day's catch.

All morning trips from August 1st to September 10th are minimum 6 hours. The 6 hour morning trip is also your option year round. This morning adventure typically starts at 6:00 a.m. and ends at noon each day. Six hours of guided fishing for up to 4 persons. Crab traps are included and you keep any catch. Starting times vary with the seasons but typically just after daybreak.

Enjoy 8 hours spent trolling for Salmon. We will be covering ground slowly while fishing, checking out local sights, islands, and beaches. We can often stop and jig for rockfish and Lingcod at the slack tides. You will meet the harbour seals at the docks, and often have a good chance to see whales, porpoise, and sea birds while fishing. We will set 2 crab traps on our way out, to retrieve (hopefully full of Dungeness crab!) on our way back to the dock. We will be fishing with down-riggers and flashers.

This is a full day, 8 Hour trip targeting Halibut, Coho, Chinook, Rockfish, and Lingcod. For the harvesters of the fishing enthusiasts you get a full day with one of our extremely experienced and sea worthy Captains in beautiful Sooke!

The Summer Chinook Salmon run from June until mid-September and are a hard-scrapping fish of the finest quality, ranging in size from 10 to 40 lbs. In addition to Chinook, there is often plenty of Coho and Pink Salmon migrating through the Strait of Juan de Fuca during this same time of year, and at times, the action can be nonstop. 'Raven' does one leisurely trip per day with a no-hurry policy and features something for everyone, even for the non-fishermen of your group or family. :)
