No fish biting, but lots of sharks!

Purchased my husband a charter for Fathers Day to take our two eldest boys. Unfortunately the younger one got sick so I stayed behind and my mother in law went in my place - the last minute change was absolutely no problem with Capt Shelby! Unfortunately there wasn’t great biting today for any good eating fish, but they were all too happy to reel in some good size bonnethead sharks and a few stingrays!

I’m a fisherman but I went with my girlfriend who has never really been fishing. Capt Chris did a great job teaching and helping her and by the end of the day she outfished me and caught a huge black drum. He brought our catches back to the dock and filleted them for us. Hes a really cool guy with a good sense of humor and it was a great trip.

We had a blast with Shelby and Trey on this trip! The weather was a little rougher than anticipated so there were some changes to the plan early on but this didn’t slow down our catches at all! All four of us were able to pull in everything from baby bonnet head sharks to a 50lb stingray! We each reeled in some huge sharks and all sorts of stuff in between! The crew was helpful and knowledgeable. Could not recommend more!

Our sons 10, 8 and 5 had a wonderful time fishing. We caught all kinds of things…a shark, stingrays, toad fish, croaker, whiting. The boys were happy to catch whatever was biting. Captain Chris was a great fishing guide. He helped the boys bait hooks and gave them fishing tips. It was the highlight of our trip to Jekyll island.
