Cedar Key Speckled Trout Fishing Charters

This exciting eight-hour trip is exactly what the doctor ordered. You will be fishing the flats of Inglis and Cedar Key, targeting Reds, Seatrout, Black Drum, Shark, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and more with a bow or regular rods and reels. Your captain will also anchor up and cook a lovely shoreside lunch for you!

Half day trips for fishing aboard a custom 24' Aeon bay boat with comfortable seating and upper station to spot fish. This trip targets inshore species such as Trout, Redfish, Snook, Snapper, and Sheepshead. High-end tackle will be used for casting artificial or live bait near mangrove shorelines or shallow water structures. Cleaning and packaging included.

During our half-day trips, we will go fishing the beautiful and amazing grass flats in cedar key that are known for producing legal size Speckled Trout and monster gator Trout. Also, we will patrol the oyster bars where you will find the amazing Cedar key Redfish where they are one of the healthiest fisheries in the big bend area.

* 4 to 5 hours of fishing * 1 to 2 hours hanging out on a beach on an island Parents work hard to make memories with their children. This company and Captain Jayson love making memories. We launch depending on the tides. Can be as early as 7 am and late as 10 am. We always try and fish the best part of the morning tide. Shared trips take great communication to keep everything going smoothly for everyone involved. Captains do work for gratuity and this keeps them doing their absolute best each and every trip. Minimum 4 guests to run the trip.

Trips begin in the early morning to beat the afternoon thunderstorms. Big black drum can be sight-fished during the incoming tide, while redfish, speckled trout, and Spanish mackerel can be targeted anytime either on the grass flats or around inter-island and nearshore bars and grassy shorelines. Artificial lures or fishing with live shrimp, cut mullet, and blue crab--talk with me and we'll devise a plan to have a fun, fish-filled morning on the water. All ages and skill levels welcome!
