Connecticut Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters

Offshore fishing South of Block Island and Montauk for Shark and Tuna fish. We will stop and fish for bait (bluefish) on the way out. We will then troll or drift fish for Tuna/Sharks. We often see amazing sights such as whales and dolphin! Sharks/Tuna can be kept by the group based on current regulations at the time of the trip.

On our offshore Tuna charters, you spend the day trolling/jigging/chunking bait for Bluefin Tuna or Yellowfin Tuna if they are within range. We also target Mahi later in the season when water temperatures permit. These trips are typically 10-11 hours long.

A very common trip, is a half day or 5 hour inshore trip. A great way to spend the day with family or friends. Take advantage of the variety of fish that Long Island sound offers.

Go offshore to fish for Sharks, Tuna (Bluefin, Yellowfin, Bigeye), Marlin, and occasionally you'll find Dorado (Mahi-Mahi). The last few years have been great for Tuna and not a very long trip offshore. We'll usually stay within 100 Miles offshore. We always carry a 6-person offshore life-raft and EPIRB. Doesn't make sense not to. These trips are limited to 4 passengers to allow for a total of 6 on the boat, so that everyone has a spot in the life raft.

This year we are offering a limited amount of offshore trips, these trips are also very weather dependent and only offered on weekdays

We will be targeting Bluefin tuna and yellowfin (when around) as well as mahi when around.We will be fishing south of block island and Montauk Mid shore We start the day off trolling at first light then if we see a feed we will throw topwater and jig.Expect to see multiple whales and porpoises !Once the bite dies down we usually bottom fish our way home starting at montauk to bring home some tasty fillets.We run these trips mon-fri because weekends are too busy.
