Background
Captain Dan Stewart has been fishing for as long as he can remember. From SE Michigan to NW Michigan, we have a boat for everything. As a result, he knows all the hiding spots for favorites including Steelhead, Chinook, Coho Salmon and walleye throughout the state of Michigan. He'll easily accommodate both experienced anglers and novices and looks forward to giving his guests a welcome escape to nature. You will have such a great time with Captain Dan that you will be booking other trips the rest of the year around the great state of Michigan. My season starts in the Nw for Steelhead. In Mid April I move to the Detroit River for walleye. In May I move to the St Clair river for walleye. When Lake St Clair heats up I move over there. Around Mid June I end the walleye fishing and move back to the Nw chasing a variety of fish. We fish crystal lake and all other inland lakes near by. We are also fishing Lake Michigan for Salmon and Trout. We follow the salmon up river then back to steelhe

As the water warms up the fishing continues to improve. We start off with natural looking baits. When the jig bites slows down switch to crawler harnesses and make sure they are on bottom. You want to trol just fast enough so the blades spin. I have traips available starting on Tuesday. Good Luck

Fishing is getting better with the dirty water. Pimp daddy and Firetiger Fin S Minnows remain good. Minnows are no longer needed. As the water warms the fishing should continue to be excellent.

Finally, with the warm weather brings warm water. That means the walleye are starting to put on the feed bag on and fishing is improving everyday. The water has been extremely cold as well as cold fronts blowing through. Minnows and baits tipped with minnows has been key. As water wrms we should be able to put the minnows a way. We have been fishing the Detroit river and St Clair river. We will continue on the Detroit until slows down. The. We will be fishing Lake St Clair and the St Clair river. Right now we are jigging. As water warms up, we will start trolling bottom bouncers. Book your sping fishing trip before its to late.

The Kings arrive and we have been doing quite well. 5 - 8 bites per trip. Coho is day by day but we have been getting lots of bites. We have been getting fish dragging lures close to the bottom with the thermocline so deep. Lures depends on the weather conditions. Given the right weather conditions will bring the fish up in the water column. Book your trip today before the season is over. Boat is coming out Laborday weekend. We will then chase the fish up river. Very few few are heading up but soon it will be full. I have few remaining opening days for that. Book your salmon trip today!
