We arrived by cruise ship at 1:00 p.m. and booked the full-day charter, knowing we wouldn’t get the full eight hours in—but it was absolutely worth it. Lunch was excellent, and Captain Juan and First Mate Juan were the best crew in Cabo. My wife and I had a double hookup and each landed a striped marlin over 100 lbs!

On the way back, we hooked into a dolphin (mahi-mahi) and were treated to an incredible show from a pod of dolphins and flying manta rays. The crew used several techniques to keep us on the fish, and we had an absolute blast with these two professionals. Highly recommend!

WOW! WHAT A DAY! Slayed em with Cabo Sportfishing on boat Robalo!  Booked an All Day trip. About an hour in caught a small Dorado. But then….Boom! A large Sailfish. Then within the next hour a HUGE Sailfish! Took 20 minutes to land it. Deck Hand Freddy,” That’s a huge Sailfish! One of the biggest I have ever caught. You should mount it” I took his advice. :) I don’t know where I’m going to hang it though! LOL! Then around 9:45 am as we were trolling back towards the Sea of Cortez in the Pacific side. Boom Again! Captin Ruben is a master at seeing fish and knowing when they strike from his tower. Nice Striped Marlin was jumping out of the water about 75 yards away from the boat then pulled my line to maybe 200! Real spinning like mad!
Freddy told me the four other boats in the company had only gotten one Dorado between the four of them as of 10:00am. What’s the difference….? Possibly experience and knowledge. Freddy has been fishing as a Deck Hand for over15 years. Captain Ruben, I think over 25 years. They know the waters and conditions and where to go, what tackle to use, and how fast to troll. Never lost a fish. Hooks set!
They were both cheering me on as I fought the fish. So Fun!
Freddy joked, “Its because you gave us a big tip BEFORE we left dock.” LOL!

We decided to book a fishing trip for our first time in Cabo.  My son is 12 and loves fishing, I also took my wife and mother in law, both brand new to fishing. The boat was immaculate, and as soon as we walked on it Our guide Joel was friendly, energetic and extremely knowledgeable. We first caught a few bait fish which was fun for my son and then we headed out to chase the big guys. We immediately landed a mahi mahi.  Then after about 2 hours of trolling Joel says I’m going to change lures to see if we can attract some tuna.  Writhing 10 minutes our line went crazy and we were on a big fish.  We fought and fought and finally got a monster yellow fin tuna on the boat.  WHAT AN EXPERIENCE.  I’ll never forget this trip and the kindness and hospitality the crew showed.  I highly recommend this trip to any aspiring fisherman, BUT, if you land a tuna, be prepared to work!  It paid off and was one of the best trips of my life!!  Thank you Cabo Sport Fishing Crew!!

We went out with Reel Tequila and while the weather definitely wasn’t on our side (20–25 ft swells most of the day), the crew handled it like absolute pros. They kept things safe, fun, and somehow managed to help us hook two sailfish in some of the roughest water I’ve ever been in.

Even though the conditions were wild, they made the best of it — calm under pressure, great communication, and tons of laughs in between the chaos. We came back salt-soaked, sore, and smiling from ear to ear.

Captain Rubin and Freddy are a great team. We had scheduled a 5 hour trim with transfer. SUV driver picked us up at hotel and dropped at pier where a rep from Cabo Sport fishing met us and escorted us to the boat. Captain told us what trip would involve. Short trip to fishing grounds. After 90 minutes trolling we hooked a 80# sailfish. Freddy was very good with showing my wife how to land the fish. Soon after I landed a 120# monster and my wife landed another 80+# fish and again Freddy was great assistant helping her land the fish.
