What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Clearwater, Florida for the first time?

I would certainly recommend Bill Parker to anyone visiting the area and want to explore the Gulf for fishing. It certainly made our vacation a wonderful memorable experience!

August is not the best time for the fish we were targeting because the water temperature is so hot. If you have the option to go in one of the shoulder symptoms.

August is not the best month. Unless it rains and cools the water, fishing is scarce. Garrett will try anything and quickly switch gears if it isnt working.

It really just depends on the weather. They hadn’t had much rain so the water temps were really high which can make the fishing tough.

The weather was perfect. It was really hot so we had to stay hydrated and use sunblock but the water was incredibly calm

Be patient, it’s called fishing not catching!! These folks work hard trying to get fish for you but it doesn’t always happen. Expect that. Then when you get fish it’s a win.

June is a tough month to Fish due to the heat. Wet Lines (Capt Kyle) worked his butt off to get us in the fish. Met every expectation and we’ll be booking again with them! ???

Don’t be surprised if you don’t get to catch what you planned to. Some things are beyond the captain’s control. Like to many boats in one area fishing for the same thing and the weather.

Book earlier trips then later. The afternoon sun will torch you if you book afternoon. Long sleeves, hat, sun block, and water a good idea

The storm over the weekend reduced my catch but everything I saw was professional and top notch. I would rebook .

Go offshore for at least four hours so that you can get to the areas where the big or more prevalent fish are.

The captain and crew worked together all day . They made this the best trip I have ever been on. Make sure to give them a great tip for their hard work.

March. Expect Lots of action. Good eating. No big trophy fish. Calm water. Chilly morning but heats up fast. Great for young’s kids with little patience. Non stop action

February weather turned out to be good. We caught a ton of fish. The captain did recommend we come back in the summer months for the BIG fish catching, we will be back for sure.

February is slow and the big fish aren’t quite biting yet but if you love to fish I’d still suggest getting out on the water.

The inshore was very good We caught several big sea trout and got one some very nice reds We had a dolphin that was a little too friendly at one spot, but was interesting to see that close

Weather this time a year can change within minutes: shorts & sweat pants might be need withing 20 minutes of each other.

Bring your sunscreen and hat! Go early before the sun comes up and figure on fish not biting after 11 am or a late evening trip to avoid the heat.

Some things out of season that you are catching and it is stupid hot, but 2Shea is the way to go, especially if you have kids.

Summer can be a challenge to fish. Thankfully knowledgeable guides like Jason can ensure it’s a good trip no matter what.
