Not all the big fish are readily available since the gulf is pretty shallow, but still some great fish to catch.

Neal Lawson
Super fun trip! Captain gave all the options with advice on what he would do to catch what we wanted!

Luke Hermsen
Great bottom fishing, great time to fill your freezer with fish, none stop action as soon as your bait hits the bottom

Sarah Conforti
Go to Wet Lines. They will call you call you a couple days before your trip and answer any questions you have. Day off they will take care of everything.

January fishing can be very hit and miss. Be prepared to dress very warmly since it can be COLD on the water.

Adam Thurmon
Weather is hit or miss, lack of sun and cooler water makes it a bit more challenging. An experienced captain makes the difference here in getting on the fish.

For any first time anglers in Clearwater, I recommend understanding which fish are in seasons if you are planning to keep any. There are many regulations to promote a healthy fishing ecosystem.

Bill Mitchell
Definately use a Charter to learn how to fish and what to fish for ass well as where to fish. These guys knew all of the above!

James Coffey
Just show up and the captain does everything from baiting the hooks to netting and cleaning the fish for your transport home . Makes for the most enjoyable no stress fishing experience

Chad Hill
Book this trip, Captain accommodated our fish request. Fun and knowledgeable Captain. The kind of guy you want to drink beers with.

James Dugan
Lied about us catching fish- we caught nothing and didn’t offer a partial refund. His guy lied about us catching fish and didn’t offer another day or any refund. Waste of $550 for a boat ride

Matt Mckenzie
Wish we could’ve stayed out longer to try and catch more, but I was super satisfied with a 2 hour trip!

Bring sunscreen and patience, it's hot out there and the fishing is a little harder when it's hot out.

Find yourself a good charter too take out and show you the ins and outs, we used Neptune charters and absolutely loved it!

Timothy Walker
North Huntingdon, PA
The water gets hot so find an expert who can find the fish. Fishing close to sure is difficult during the summer. Spend the money and get out to deeper waters and you’ll be happy you did.

Try to book and good during good weather. We went a day after tstorms. I think that affected the bite a little.

It can get pretty hot in July so I would highly recommend the early morning trip. If you do the afternoon, I would recommend more than a couple of hours.

Pick an experienced charter captain and listen to the guidance they give. The fish in the area are highly pressured a d the experience Guide will make the difference.

Book with Costal Chaos Fishing Charters! They were professional, punctual, informative, knowledgeable, eager and capable of putting us in fish. Captain Cameron runs a top notch outfit.

Be ready for a fun adventure! This was our first Charter and definitely will do again with Zack when we come back!

Jacob Peterson

Be prepared to catch some fish! Even if the weather looks calm and perfect, bring a light jacket, the wind picks up on the water when the boat is moving quick and it can get chilly.

Make sure you size the boat to the number of people going out as well as if the boat has enough shade.

This was the first time we fished here. The weather wasn't great and effected the fishing, but we had a great time. Caught fish, but not as much or as many as we wanted.

Book a local charter such as Neptune because they have the knowledge to get you hooked up even if the conditions aren’t ideal.
