I learnt that going out expecting to catch non stop after a full moon isn’t going to happen, the light from the moon has the fish feeding all night, so you need to work a little harder to bag your catch.

Your experience matters. Use it to your advantage. Trust the captain. They know where to put you on the fish. But , take some enjoyment in doing it for yourself. My captain worked the whole time to help the less experienced people in my party land the fish , while I caught plenty myself including every species we went after.

Dress warm in the winter months, layer..so if you get hot you can take things off. It gets cold out there on the trip out and back.
We thought 75 ° we suitor be good..but a bit cold. Other than that the trip was Amazing!

Don't cancel if the weather is forecasted to be bad- it changes pretty quickly . What is bad the day before becomes beautiful the next morning. You will miss out on great fishing if you let the the weather scare you off.

Where we wanted to fish for tarpon was extremely windy where he took us was still a little windy but not as bad as where we had originally went and it was a wonderful atmosphere compliments to the captain

Be prepared to have fun. My whole group were novice but we leave the day feeling like we been fishing for years.

Hold onto your hats?, make sure to watch your bobber cause they’ll always somehow be a fish on or else they’ll eat your bait.

Kurt Dager
The trip out can be wet and chilly, so dress accordingly.
Patience is key getting on top of fish, but once they are found, be ready. Each cast will have you reeling something in.

We were on the tail end of a cold front so fish were slow but we got into them and kids slayed over 20 on our 3hr charter

Weather can be unpredictable and windy but inshore is likely more protected and consistent if you want to catch something. Will need to pay for parking not much.

Save your time scrolling through guides and just book with Evan, one of the best trips we’ve been on. Mid Feb is a slow time to fish but he put us on 30plus fish and some very nice ones at that.

Keith Mims
Absolute great way to start if you’re fishing in the area for the first time. Great variety of bite and loads of action.

Alberto Juarez
Def recommend, the captain sure knows we're to put you to catch fish regardless of the weather conditions

Do yourself a favor and reach out to Captain Ethan at “Wish Upon A Fish Charters”. You won’t be disappointed.

Zack Parisien
It was really good for us for snook and sea trout especially (late april). Redfish was a bit tougher, only catch 3 total.

Richard Gorgen
Write down your license plate number because it’s paid to park. Two dollars. Easy access with a bait store and ice.

Look up Bottom Line Sport Fishing, they are great guys and do their best to make your trip successful.

Water temp may make it difficult to target intended species. Rely on captain’s experience for an enjoyable adventure.

Make sure you book with Mow Fish. Capt. Mike was great. Parking was cheap $2 for the day and there was shaded parking spots.

Charters are a great fishing opportunity. I love to fish from shore and always do, but nothing beats a charter with a Captain who knows the area well and can take you out on their boat!

Take plenty of Sun cream and a hat. If you need anything or are unsure email the captain before going they are really helpful

Sheepshead and gag grouper were abundant in March. We caught plenty of fish. It was a great time.

Anna Haley
Go earlier than July. By July the water is just hot. The fish are deep and lazy.

Wait for warmer waters, current water temp at 75, bigger fish were just starting to move in.
