Fishing can be great and sometimes fishing can be slow. But when you’re spending time on the water with your family fishing and laughing and making memories it’s not always about how many and how big of fish you catch. And it makes it even better when you get the right guide to take you out! Captain Brien is highly recommended!

It could be chilly in the morning when you first get on the boat riding out to your fishing spot so make sure you have a jacket and something to cover your legs. But the sun comes up quick, so don’t forget your sunblock.

Go to Lake Tanekomo instead of Table Rock since table Rock was flooded and not great fishing. Several other fishermen we saw, talked to said they had not even had a bite. Ronnie was great to show us several techniques and spots to try

table rock Lake is conventional freshwater fishing and lake. TanyComo is all trout fishing because the temperature is so cold. Make sure you know what you are booking.
If you prefer either one, make sure you pick your guide accordingly. Taneycomo is all trout fishing and is drifting up and down the lake
They call it Lake TanyComo but it’s really a river with a dam each end of it
We had an awesome time and I had never finished your truck before. But just know ahead of time what you are looking in case you prefer either one.
It’s kind of interesting because you can get trout and conventional freshwater fishing only one mile apart from each other. There’s not a lot of places in the United States where you can do that.

Branson is a cool place with a lot to do. Plan on spending some time taking in the local attractions in addition to great fishing! You can purchase fishing licenses online and don’t forget to add the trout stamp if your fishing for trout.

The weather is always the most unpredictable element of your fishing trip; however, if you choose carefully the time of the year and the guide, then you have your best chance of catching the fish you would like.

The morning started out below freezing so the fish were finicky. Definitely should have worn heavier jackets and even gloves at least for the first half hour.
The sun got hire up and we started finding schools. We were both just happy to be out on the lake, and we caught enough for supper and then some.

Yes. This was a great trip with a great guide. Caught fish quickly and captain was terrific. Great with kids and very knowledgeable and experienced. Knew the lake well and what was working to catch fish currently.

Nice setting for a gorgeous day on a scenic waterway. But if you want more than that, the quality of your guide will make a big difference. Some find September a great month. At least one thinks it’s one of the slowest. When things are right, Taneycomo is an opportunity for uncommonly nice experiences.

We had a better experience than other people on the lake. Several anglers said they weren’t catching much today. Our guide thought it was because of low oxygen in the water due to the dam not being opened. As for when to come, that depends what you are fishing for. Best to consult a guide beforehand.

Two great options for different types of fishing - trout and then big lake fishing. It is hot so bring sunscreen, hat and long sleeves to help make your day more comfortable. Early morning or late afternoon fishing trips are the best.

We enjoyed the fishing a great deal. However, we may not return again to the Branson area because the political environment is “in your face“, and does not always appear appropriate for families and children. It is a shame because we enjoy the area and politics should not pollute that experience. The people in the restaurants and stores were wonderful and friendly, it was the people and the places that we saw outside of there that we felt were unnecessary and intrusive. This cannot be good for tourism if there is an environment that excludes and alienates half (+) of your potential customers .

Don’t try and fish this lake if you don’t have knowledge of the lake or the gear to do so. Hire a guide once or twice and get to know the lake and its patterns. Different fish feed in different locations at different times.

Book Captain Micham! It will be well worth the money and create lasting memories. No question his knowledge and expertise will help me fishing on my own anywhere in any lake. Great for beginners through experts.

Having a guide that has experience, knows the area, provides a boat and all the fishing gear you need. It makes traveling so much easier when you don’t have to being all of the fishing gear with you.

Definitely do it. I loved how big and beautiful the lake was I'm more of an out doors person so having this option to go on a fishing trip while being in Branson was great! It was cold but was still a blast and still caught nice bass.

Yes I would recommend fishing in Branson. It was a little slow due to the cold water but crappies are due to spawn shortly guide was very professional boat was great. Scenery and weather was absolutely perfect I would recommend fishing Branson and with a guide could easily get lost on this Lake if you don't know it.

Find a guide that is familiar with the area and fish you are targeting. All 3 lakes in the area have great opportunities to explore and catch fish.

Neil Wreyford
It was HOT. We jumped in the water a couple of times to cool off and that was fun. Wear appropriate clothing to get wet.

Terrance Bigley
Having a great guide like Charlie Weyer with the wonderful boat, tools, experience, and knowledge of the lake.

Ryan Petty
We are from Texas and it was nice to come and try this new lake out. We had a great time and we definitely recommend booking with Eric if your wanting to catch fish here in Branson

Kitrina Dubose
Make sure you get your fishing license the day before, other than that show up and be ready for a great!

Ryan Stavig
Book during the week if possible. Weekends have more skiers and wakeboards that cause the water to be choppy.

John Wulff
Consider a guided trip if it’s first time on this lake. It fishes differently than other lakes in the area.

Mark Witter
Yes I would. If children were on this trip it would all depend on the age of child and the how the parents cared for the child the behavior of the child.

Fred Ritchey
I wholeheartedly recommend Captain Bruce if you are looking for a knowledgeable guide and the best chance to have a great time in the water and catch fish.

Patrick O'Connell
Branson is a hidden gem in my opinion, and I would highly recommend making the trip at least once.

Teresa Smith
If you can't get on the bite, find an angler! And keep an eye on the water conditions!

Benjamin Arthur
Give Bryan Badock a call for a spectacular fishing trip….. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Sarah Saik
Choose Captain Eric. Pack warm and water proof clothes. Get ready for a fun catch… those bass love to take you on a ride.
