What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Branson, Missouri for the first time?

Definitely do it. I loved how big and beautiful the lake was I'm more of an out doors person so having this option to go on a fishing trip while being in Branson was great! It was cold but was still a blast and still caught nice bass.

Yes I would recommend fishing in Branson. It was a little slow due to the cold water but crappies are due to spawn shortly guide was very professional boat was great. Scenery and weather was absolutely perfect I would recommend fishing Branson and with a guide could easily get lost on this Lake if you don't know it.

Timing the weather and temperature is the key to good fishing at Table Rock Lake

New anglers start with the two hour trip targeting trout. More experienced anglers take the four hour trips targeting the many other species of fish available in the area.

I'll tell you what we where told after catching 3 fish in almost 4 hours. It's the wrong time of year. Fall is better than summer and spring is better than fall.

Fish Table Rock if you want to target small mouth bass and Taneycomo if you want to catch brown and rainbow trout.

You have to be prepared for the fact that if there is a major change in the weather (cool front), the trout may not bite during your trip. It has nothing to do with your boat captain or equipment.

Make sure to use lure colors and line for clear water fishing. I did not have clear lakes in my home area.

Plan for plenty of time and expect different weather. Just enjoy your time on the water. Take time to enjoy the tranquility of it all

You may want to try bass fishing if you are a novice fishermen. The trout fishing trip requires some experience.

Definitely use a guide. They know the area and the techniques for the area. Brian at Captain B’s was great.

Fishing in April in Branson is great as the weather is moderate and fish are active at various depths due to warming of water. Recommend sun screen and/or long sleeves and head protection

Hire a guide. Generally will get you on fish for not much more money than renting a boat

Call a professional, don't go it alone. It's big, it's deep. Pay, ask questions catch fish..

Understand what is hitting at the time of your visit. We were a few weeks too early for the bass.

Let the captain know what you're fishing for. Dress appropriately and bring you're sunglasses.

Dress warm and be ready to wok for the fish, they a a little lethargic. HAVE FUN!
