A cold front had just come through which pretty much shut down activity with the fish. BUT, it was still a great time and was better than working!

Look for a professional guide like Captin Joe Weter with Go Fishing Guide Service it was the best trip I've ever had!

Jared Henderson
Be honest about you fishing capabilities, you'll get a different experience everytime even if you have no experience it's still fun and the guys will put you right on the fish.

Tyler Ondes
Give Blake a call for whatever fish you are wanting to catch he is definitely an expert and extremely well with children I will definitely use him again

Mitchell Morgan
Captain Spenser’s technique allowed me to catch fish in hot tough conditions. Will use this back in Louisiana on my lakes.

Kayle Henderson
It’s starting to get hot! Recommend mid to late May for spawning season! Table rock was gorgeous though!

Dennis Kirk
Expect fun, wear sunscreen, let Captain Josh Issacs show you the ropes, and he will get you catching fish fast

Alan Petro
Time of day is important. I’d suggest communicating to the captain prior to booking to see if he/she recommends a particular fishing time.

John Sams
Listen to your guide. They are on the lake daily and know where and what fish are biting on. They also give you tips along the way to get fish in the boat.

Marti Johnson
We caught fish consistently and Cody tries to make everything conducive to catching fish at this time of year!

Thomas Kittel
I booked this trip with no expectations just wanting to get on the water for the experience. Catching fish was the bonus.

David Congos
Hire a guide like Cody Spetz to learn tactics, equipment and technique. After that you’ll be ready to go on your own.

SHANE STRATMAN
If fishing before middle of April be sure to bring some warm clothes. If bringing your own gear bring multiple types of lures.

John Murdoch
Read the refs and know what species you want to chase. We chose Paddlefish and had a great time. Missouri is very out of stater friendly.

William (Matt) Butler
Just show up. Captain Eric will handle the rest. He was very informative about the area and gave my 12 year old great tips for fishing while he was pulling in the big ones. Awesome time!!!

Keith Wells
There are lots of fish to be caught if you know where and how. It’s definitely worth hiring a guide to start with.

Jack Vivrett
Fishing is very good, but weather can fluctuate from really nice to freezing, which was the case today when we fished

Fred Hays
Just remember, " it's fishing, not catching". Use a professional guide the first time. It will pay off in the long run...

Greg Guffin
Not sure what to say, this is my first fishing trip in branson and it was a bummer day as far as biting goes. Guide worked hard and tried, just wasn't our day

Michael Lewis
It was a beautiful and cold day. I love Branson this time of year. This was my first time to fish Table Rock in the winter and it was totally worth it.

Don Bowlin
The weather is fantastic but the fishing from mid-October to mid-November is tough doing because the daily weather changes.

Jose Rodriguez
Definitely hire a guide service -- it really makes a difference. They know where the fish are and you will most likely catch some nice fish to take home and enjoy for dinner!

Brent Kerschen
October fishing in Branson is more dependent on the weather than anything else so you need to be patient and understand that some things are out of our control.

Cory Shumate
Bring appropriate clothing with rain gear, good pair of sunglasses, sun screen and the right attitude! you’ll be sure to have a great time!

We went on a Saturday. I think I would avoid going on a Saturday and I would definitely recommend a guide!! The guide made our trip so much more enjoyable

Jeremy Caldwell
Pottsboro, TX
Book a good guide that has experience. It’s a tough time of the year to catch them because it’s so hot. The good ones will still get you on some fish.

Anthony Frazier
Tinley Park, IL
It’s very hot and some spots are regulated to where only certain jigs, no live bait or power bait are allowed.

Jennifer Psaltis
Parker, CO
Branson is beautiful, Table Rock lake is stunning and the people are incredibly nice and hospitable.

Justin Michael

Morning fishing seems like it’s the key. Foggy on the water and cool in the morning before the sun got it done for us.

Cindy Barton
Lecoma, MO
Bring plenty of sunscreen. More water to drink if needed. The guide will show you the best places to fish, trust the equipment it works. Overall have a great time.
