Personally, I recommend a good long sleeve UV resistant shirt, SPF 70 sunscreen for your face and neck, and hydrate well the day before. And, be prepared for a workout! Fish that swim in ocean currents are a lot stronger than anything I’ve ever caught in fresh water.

Local guides are extremely knowledgeable
If you can seek out their insight when planning, the text feature on sites and even FB sites allow for convenience in asking questions about a time frame while in town.
Also simply booking, You can rest assured
You’re dealing with Knowledgeable Professionals.
On a personal note as a Boat owner.
Consider, prep, towing, fuel, bait and the time you have available. A monthly quarterly charter with a guide is an inexpensive care free experience.
Just show up and enjoy!

Very hot, be prepared. The guide/captain has great experience; don't try to snow him with your own knowledge of the activity. Listen and pay attention -- you'll absolutely learn some things you never knew and you may be able to catch a few fish as well!

Don't attempt a first time gulf or offshore trip if conditions are less than ideal. No way to know if you are susceptible to seasickness without finding out the hard way. I was not affected but my family was. Luck of the draw.

Everything was great but the weather had turned and prevented us from going offshore but Kenny was able to take us to a point where and stay there and had us getting bites and catching fish the whole time couldn't ask for anymore from him. Great captain

Take a jacket on the boat and don't wear shorts on the boat in November/December. Be prepared to catch a lot of fish but also be prepared to throw a lot of them back as they will probably not be in season.

Troy Shrope
If you're one who is prone getting motion sickness , just prepare with a quality method that hopefully won't make you overly drowsy.

Alex Abel
You’ll have the time of your life especially if you book with REEL WAY CHARTERS Captain Kenny is the best there is!

Obviously December fishing is going to be cold, but knowing that and also knowing it was out of season for some species, the trip was absolutely worth it! I can’t wait to come back in the summer

John Grant
Go out to deep water , do to being warm temperatures. Make sure you let the captains know size of party . It help them to have things ready before you get there.

Carson Short
I would definitely recommend fishing for vermillion snappers. They are a blast and you catch a variety of other fish.

Jeremy Higgins
Start early. Don't spend too much time at a spot where you're competing with sharks or dolphins for fish. Bee prepared that the bait that worked last time may not work this time.

Shelby Clark
It ended up just being a hard day of fishing we really had to hunt for them and they wasn't biting very good even when we could see them on the finder

Patricia Fleming
We travel and fish many places
This was a 10 out of 10
Only negative was the sharks ? but the Captain couldn't help that problem.

Jason Robertson
Lots of fish to keep but if you’re looking to take fish home, probably not a lot to stock your freezer.

Ryan Betts
If it is overcast the day of the trip, wear appropriate clothing (jacket/sweater) as the ride out can be a little cool.

Christopher Whitmire
If you are a first time angler in this area, you should definitely take this trip. We caught a variety of fish and had a very knowledgeable guide.

There were many fish caught that we couldn’t keep because they weren’t in season. We still had a wonderful time and brought home 3 gallon ziplock bags full of Vermillion Snapper.

Check to make sure you can keep the fish you are targeting. There is a season for all the species.

Bring fly spray. Was very hot on shore but very nice on the water. Have a goid Captian that knows the area!

Stick with a day trip into the gulf. More species and bigger fish in general. Also, watch the weather!

Wear a swimsuit/Maybe take a change of clothes you might get wet! If you have a preference and beverage like Diet Coke you might take it with you. Take sunscreen and sunglasses!

Due to demand, better to go with your own group than to hope to join a trip. Be prepared for weather to complicate things, and sometimes you get skunked even when the gulf is full of fish.

Ian Bass
Don’t plan on going offshore in March, very rough and most offshore fish are not in season.

Leng Yang
Fishing was good but Remember it’s December so bring a jacket and be prepared.

We wanted to rate 5 stars on everything! Is there a way to make sure all categories get 5 stars

Use Paradise Charters with Captain Justin. Very knowledgeable about the area and the species!

Fishing from the piers provided good spanish mackerel bites as well as sea trout /

Didn’t catch big fish, but caught all kinds all day. No complaints. Excellent family fun day.
