I'd wait a little later - we had a fantastic trip and caught 6 fish we could keep - but if we came latter some of the fish we caught (Red Snapper) We could have caught - check with your captain on which fish are in season when you book your trip if you are not familar with it

This is the trip to take the family. Orange Beach is good for couples & kids. There is plenty to do. The white beach sand is beautiful. This city has awesome restaurants. This is one of the cleanest beaches I have ever seen. I actually had 2 different charters booked & had to cancel the second one due to conditions in the Gulf. My wife being with me made the change of plans easy & we found plenty to do.

Absolutely the best part of our whole vacation he had gotten a new net and told me he wanted to try it in the morning it did not do so well so he offered and took his back out in the evening not only did we get a lot of shrimp he was bait fishing also so he let me catch several catfish it was a blast the young kids enjoyed it very well explained what was in the net and what was good to eat and all the dangers in the things that he took out of the net going back in October all you have to do is show up and he will take care of you

Go to deeper water where the weather is warm. Most big game fish maybe out of season but you'll get a good deal on a boat and a relaxed atmosphere. You also won't be competing with a lot of other boats.

Healthy vermillion catch which provides good catch numbers for anglers. Had several amber jack fights which put up a tremendous fight. 8/16 was last day for triggerfish season but managed to boat several. All good eating!

For a short trip, inland fishing is good with plenty of action. You won't have to travel far and dont need a big boat. I would not recommend the cheap $59 fishing on the bigger boat with 20+ other people.

If there's a strong chance of rain try to book you're trip later in the day or another day all together. We spent a lot of time under a bridge. This was not the fault of the captain and they did take $100.00 off my total bill.

Consider a smaller group charter trip of 6 to 8 people instead of a party boat for the best experience. Also the Gulf State Park pier is just 6 miles down the beach in Gulf Shores for fun pier fishing.

Don’t bring bananas, or eat them before going; they’re bad luck! I had a banana with breakfast and didn’t catch any red snappers - the only one I hooked broke my line. My daughter had no bananas and caught three!

My two sons and I did a morning of inshore fishing for trout and reds, a bow fishing trip and then a off shore trip for red snapper and what ever else presented an opportunity. All trips were great with plenty fish. Got both quality and quality. Solid trip in mid July.

Red Snapper is only available for 2 months (what I could tell), and this is some of the Best eating, fried or on the grill. Capt Albert ensured we were taken care of and landed all the spots... Shaun was the best, I think he enjoyed seeing my 11 year old son fight the fish almost as much as I did. Great group of guys and good hearted!

Bring a small ice chest with drinks and a few sandwiches and snacks. You will have time to take a break while traveling ro other areas to fish. Air conditioned cabin was real nice . Sign up. You will not regret it.

Ask your guide questions and take advice. The bite was quite different than freshwater. Guide provided the info needed to hook up. Also took out at Fort Morgan for more options to locate the fish. Great recommendation.

1. Go to RIP Tide First of all 2. Look on the web for long sleeve shirts called VAPORS. It's not fun when you go out and get burned. Soak up the sun and then put on one of these shirts. 3. Make sure you have a good hat to protect your head and face. Might look a little funny but I'm happy to say no burns.

Had storms all around therefore limiting the number of fish. Captain mike did a great job dodging bad weather. I’m sure on sunnier days fishing would be better. Overall satisfied with our catch. Thank you captain mike and Blake.

Orange beach fishing charters are a great deal! I would recommend +6 hours to anyone who'd like to catch keepers or do bottom fishing. If you're into trolling only and satisfied with Kingfish or smaller fish, 4 hours is enough, however +6 hours is the real deal.

Check the weather, communicate with the Captain of the boat, dress appropriately. Relax and enjoy. The Captain wants to put you in a position to catch fish more than you do. It's all about the experience... Fish on

We didn't do very good shore fishing in the surf by our condo, but the charter boat fishing was great. They just know where the fish are, what spots to try, how to read the waters, what rig and bait to use, and how to find success.

I would recommend not booking a trip before April. Weather can be unpredictable but we had high winds and below 65 degree temperatures the whole week. But the area is beautiful and our guide was great. Im sure its awesome later in the spring.

If you are looking to catch and release, then fishing in February can be great. The smaller private charters are where you have time to really fish. The bigger parties you spend more time traveling than fishing.

First timers for deep sea should book a 6 hour trip and make sure they can take oceanic waters. Even the most seasoned fresh water only fisherman may not be able to handle the type of motion that is normal for deep sea. Once you've had a 6 hour adventure and know you can take the ocean, try an 8 or 10 hour adventure, but be prepared for an intense day of physical activity.

Research your captain/company prior to booking. When returning from fishing we witnessed other boats with 6 fishermen and only 4-5 fish. We only had 2 fisherman and came back with 40 large fish due to Captain Al and fish trap charters great service.

For the 6 hour trip be ready for the HEAT! Take plenty of water. I would not recommend taking children or electronic occupied teens on this long of a trip unless you want to test your family relationship. This is FISHING trip, not a fun cruise.

Captain Will Owens worked with us to find good weather so more enjoyable. Check the weather as the best is blowing into Mobile Bay from the south to keep the dirty water in and more fish close to shore.

Find a guide who has been doing this for a long time and has the local knowledge it takes to put fish in the boat. The cheapest isn't always the best value.
