Take Dramamine/antibausea the nught before fishing and when headed to the marina to combat sea sickness! we fish on lakes alot and did not do so and had motion sickness within the hour! we thought we would be fine and it was nit all that rough

Wind can play a major factor. Historically speaking…. It is an exceptionally great time of year to fish pelagic. Unfortunately Hurricane Melissa (stayed a couple of hundred miles away) may have affected over-all conditions

If you plan on trophy fishing, hit the gym. Your forearms will be screaming after a few mins on reeling

We fished just south of the lighthouse, water can get a bit "sporty" there, so make sure to understand the water conditions to select a location that is comfortable for all depending on your "sea worthiness"

If you bring kids be mindful there is an age restriction for participation! Please do your research. Also patience is key, it took a minute for them to bite but we caught quite a few over time. Communicate with your charter captain or company & make sure to hydrate!
