Trip Summary

This was the first live bait trolling trip of the season. I fished with a friends son (James Higdon) and two of his buds from work. We baited up with Pogies (Menhaden) and ran 14 miles offshore. The bite was crazy good. Couldn't get within 100 yds of the structure without getting at least one fish on. Most were small to med Amberjack but we did get a few legals and got broken off by some studs as well (we were fishing with 20# kingfish tackle). The 'Cuda's got a few too. There was one bonita (little tunny) thrown into the mix when we got too far from the wreck. On the way in we saw a Manta Ray jump and eased up to it, there were two cobia with it and we invited one home for dinner. All in All an OUTSTANDING trip
