Booked this trip as a late wedding gift for my brother and had a great time. Captain Aki took the time to show the three of us the zones and teach us his jigging technique, and even worked to accommodate us so we could use our own gear. I highly recommend Akihiro hands down very precise fisherman and very knowledgeable on gear and the area. very friendly and out going and works hard to get you hooked up. I am an experienced fisherman and have been out on a bunch of deep sea trolling charters. I was looking for something different and more hands on. If you are looking for a jigging charter this is your best option. Went out by myself with the captain. He did a great job explaining how to jig. My buddy and I fish all over the US, from Florida keys to California and all the way to Hawaii. I wouldn’t say we are experts, but we have high standards. Captain Akihiro is very hardcore and technical, he would want to teach you and get things done properly like a pro. Trip is 100% jogging oriented, no trolling, or baits, just with metal jigs.
