Saco Bluefish Fishing Charters

This entry-level trip is always a good option if you're looking to get acquainted with the local fishery. Get ready to go after some Striped Bass in some of Capt. Corey's favorite spots.

Rise and shine! On this trip, you'll target Striped Bass, Bluefish. Atlantic Mackerel, and more. Rods, reels, tackle, and fish cleaning are all included in the price. Just be sure to bring an extra layer of clothing, comfortable shoes, food, drinks, (beer and such ok) and the captain will take care of the rest. This trip is for 5 people.

Striped Bass are one of the primary gamefish on the coast of Maine. They are a migratory species that travel north along the coast in the Spring and arrive in Maine around May and remain in the area until early Fall. They range in size from 12" to over 50". Very large Striped Bass are nicknamed Cows because of their size. They are a great fighting fish and a lot of fun to catch. Striped Bass trips can be 4 – 6 hours and can be fished close to shore or in the river if the seas are too rough.

We typically catch mackerel to start the trip. We then use the mackerel, live or chunked, or artificials, to pursue striped bass, and sometimes bluefish (summer arrival). If interested, we'll spend 20-30 minutes of the trip tending our lobster traps. You keep the legal lobsters we harvest.

This will be a 4- hour Striper fishing Trip

Join the Captain for an inshore saltwater fishing trip targeting striped bass and bluefish for up to 3 people. Children 12 years of age and under must wear a life jacket once aboard. The day will start out fishing for mackerel and pollock to use as bait to use for striped bass bait. Fly fishing and other gear can be used depending on your goals. Just ask the Captain and he can tailor the game plan. Fishing time is 4 hours and bottled water and coffee are provided.

Migratory Striped Bass make their journey all the way from the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland all the way up the coast into Maine & NH waters chasing rising water temps, river herring, sand eels & river bait. These fish strike and fight hard. Early season smaller bass are often called 'Schoolies' and rush up the river during the incoming tide in a feeding frenzie.

We are prepared to go inshore or offshore, depending on the weather, group's goals and where the fish are biting! This is an unforgettable bucket list day chasing fish in one of the most scenic settings imaginable.
