Freeport Redfish Fishing Charters

A 5-hour fishing trip nearshore for up to 4 anglers. Species targeted will depend on weather and time of year, and may include Kingfish, Snapper, Jack, Redfish, and many more. Price includes fishing gear, live bait, lures, and catch cleaning and filleting. Fuel is included in the pricing, no surprises!

You will be fishing the waters of Freeport or Galveston, going for the best species the area has to offer, such as Flounder, Redfish, and Spotted Seatrout. Your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip. You can feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks if you want.

This trip is offered in the winter months. It starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. to allow for fishing during the middle of the day. Same great trip as always offered just during different hours of the day.

This 8-hour trip includes bait and rods. A variety of fish will be targeted including Snapper, Kingfish, Amberjack, Cobia, Dorado, Redfish, Tuna, and sharks. The trip includes trolling and drift fishing over structures and reefs. This vessel offers a cabin with air-conditioning. We normally can travel up to 40miles. Weather permitting. Fuel included.

Full day trips will typically depart at sunrise (6:00 a.m. summer and 7:00 a.m. winter). If the schedule allows, the captain can adjust departure times to accommodate your requests. All rods, reels, artificial lures, and terminal tackle are included in the price. Live bait will be an additional cost.

There are no surprises for fuel charges on any of Captain Rodney's trips, the fuel cost is included in the trip price. On this nearshore trip, you and the crew will mostly stay in state waters within 9 miles. The species you can reel in include huge Red Drum, Cobia, Snapper, Kingfish, and more. The exact choice of species will depend on their migratory patterns as well as weather conditions.

6am - 11:30am No fuel charge and fish cleaning included. Come aboard our 33 ft Contender for a quick ride out to structures such as rocks, wrecks, or underwater pipelines where you battle with delicious, sow Red Snapper. This trip prioritizes targeting Red Snapper and the catch frequently includes 12-20lb sow snapper. Primarily a red snapper trip, however, after we limit on Snapper and we work our way back to dock; pursuing other fish like Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Cobia, or Shark as time allows.

We strictly to State Water trips (9 miles) so we can keep State Water Red Snappers year round. We will be fishing State Water reefs, rocks and wrecks. We will also fish anchored ships, shrimp boats and weed lines when accessible. No experience necessary and family friendly.
