Newport Coho Salmon Fishing Charters

This is a private trip that focuses on catching Rockfish in the nearshore waters. You can also catch some Lingcod & Cabezon, as they like to hang out in the same areas. Captain Greg will provide the gear and the knowledge, so all you have to do is make sure you listen and bring lots of positive energy. There is a capacity for 4 adults +1 child. Boat is crowded with 5 adults. The maximum weight on the boat is 1000 lbs per group, for safety and comfort reasons.

Get out on the ocean for a full 8 hours and explore the incredible witers of the Pacific. When it's Salmon season, you can head up to 5 miles offshore to test your skills to fill the boat, while the rest of the year, you'll have no shortage of delicious Lingcod, salmon(when in season), and other bottom fish. Up to 20 miles offshore, you're in for some heavy lifting against some of the ocean's biggest bottom fish.

This is a shared trip for up to six people. The ocean salmon fishery is one of our favorites – the salmon are usually close to the surface and the action can be really fast-paced once we get into them. We will primarily target coho (silver) salmon but can sometimes get into chinook (king) salmon if they are around. This is typically a troll fishery but sometimes we will mooch or drop bait over the rail. We will run these trips until the coho quota is reached. Crabbing can be added for an extra fee.

Most Salmon trips are 8-hour trips due to the nature of fishing and the distance one must travel. Salmon species available are Coho and Chinook. (Only Coho may be retained in 2023) Crabbing can be added to this trip for an additional $30 per person. For groups less than 3 please call for arrangements

Welcome to the Newport Coho Rodeo. July and August see a massive migration of hungry Coho Salmon move through the nearshore ocean waters out of Newport. With lots of action, it's not uncommon to have multiple fish on at once. We fish until we fill limits and if there is time we will try to put some crab or bottom fish in the box too. 6 people max.

We will take you off shore provide you with the newest top of the line equipment and techniques to catch Coho salmon with the chance of hooking into a Chinook.Customers will need a current Fishing licence and a Salmon punch card.

This trip is for Salmon. We have some great Coho fishing at times out of Newport and it can be some fast action.

Offshore fishing for Coho and Chinook salmon. An 8 hour trip trolling for hard fighting silvers and kings. We use premium lamiglas rods and line counting reels to hook and land these salmon. Fin clipped coho only until Sep 1. Chinook is OPEN this year!. This is a highly prized, delicious Pacific Northwest favorite!

This one is for the one's who just love to fish. They don't care what they get to take home – Salmon, Ling Cod, Black Bass. Super fun and not too long. Get back to the dock in time for dinner reservations.
