What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Cancún, Quintana Roo for the first time?

When they hint that it may be rough , they know the area. We had fished rough water before. others will not enjoy it.

I recommend the Nuj Kay. The captain and first mate were very friendly and worked hard to put us on fish.

this is a great trip for those who enjoy being more active in their fishing with casting and using plastic / live bait to target selective fish.

Normal fishing experience. Bring a snack. Plenty of drinks on board. Water. Soda and beers. Variety of fish will be caught. Excellent experience!

I’ve been out on other boats and got fish airflow to keep somebody cool is key this time of year fishing in Cancun

Bring the motion sickness medicine if you even remotely get sea sick. Been deep sea fishing a lot and never gotten sick but the waves are big and will definitely take you for a ride.

You will have a great time with Mario. His boat is amazing and knows his stuff. Book it you will not regret it...

Beware of going deep sea fishing if you are prone to sea sickness. These waves will make people who never get sick, sick.

I did a 4 hour trip. I highly suggest doing longer. Fishing was slow but what we did manage to hook up was worth the wait

This charter was at the start of the Wahoo (Ono) season and as most know timing is crucial. Make sure to have sunscreen, fishing shirt and snacks.

This is the first my husband and I fished in Cancun, it was exceptional! Captain Mauricio taught me how to fish patiently. I caught two fishes on my own, we highly recommend anyone to try.

Its worth the experience but try to come when the fish you want are in season and its not 40 degs outside.

I would not solely due to the fact that we paid $1000+ for 7 hours (short of the 8 hours we booked) + only 1 fish that was greater than 14in but less than 28in.

Bring your own snacks. It is hot and no AC on this boat to escape it. The fishing was OK, but nothing spectacular.

The captain and crew were amazing. The deck hands busted their butts getting weeds off the lines and changing bait. Highly recommend this fishing service!

Don’t tans this trip it’s not as described in anyway. Fake trip, no fish, different boat that put off horrible diesel fumes the entire time.

Book a full day trip if you’re going after the big fish. The smaller fish (mahi-mahi, tuna, etc..) were biting like crazy in may!

I would say that Hector from cancun fishing charters was super knowledgeable and professional. The crew has a great technique for catching fish!!!!

Fantastic boat, really good spots, nice lagoon, good service. Spots are also not wildly far to each other, which it is an advantage, more fishing time!

Just have fun, the fish are almost suicidal. Stay off the sauce too, just drink water otherwise you'll be sick. Apart from that, you'll love it!

Not the crews fault at all. We went on an afternoon trip so hard to really say. We didn’t catch the big game fish we wanted but we caught some good tuna.

Arrive early, take cash. You’ll likely catch nice fish but it’s the crew that does the actual fishing - if they didn’t you’d likely catch less fish.

Please book with these guys they were amazing we caught 10 fish in 2 1/2 hours was a blast. We had the most amazing time.

This is my first time fishing in Cancun and it was great. Lots of action and the weather was perfect.

Just remember it's called fishing and not catching and you'll enjoy the trip a lot more.....but we caught 10 Mahi Mahi today ?

I definitely recommend fishing with these guys because you fish, and they are very friendly and attentive.

If you are heading out with someone who is prone to sea sickness, make sure they take some Gravol or something similar to reduce sea sickness.

Wouldn’t suggest if you are known to get motion sickness. I was fine but it’s a hour ride back so it’s not the best if you don’t feel well

I was told point blank best time of year is March, followed by January, so if your looking for big fish, that’s your best route!

As stated previously, the weather on the day I went out was rough and we didn't catch anything but the Captain and crew were great. I would highly recommend Fish's and Captain Hector.
